HARTING has extended the options in the plastic connector series Han-Eco® with housing type facilitates compact, space-saving solutions.
Based on the approach that plastic connectors deliver weight and cost savings for customers, HARTING has extended the Han-Eco® series with housings in sizes 10 A and 16 A. Thanks to the slimmer design Han-Eco® now represents an attractive plastic alternative for many applications. In particular, assemblies on the back of switching cabinets are noteworthy: Cables and retaining frames with prewired inserts simply click into the bulkhead housing mounted on the back of the switching cabinet. Besides mounting on the back, the conventional front mounting is, of course, still possible.
The Han-Eco® A series includes hoods with straight or lateral cable entry, bulkhead or surface mounted housing and cable to cable hood. In addition, flexible protection covers are also available for retrofit to bulkhead and surface mounted housings.
The Han-Eco® 10 A and 16 A housings are plug-compatible with the corresponding metal housings. They are suitable for applications in the industrial environment, and also for external applications in the outdoor variants with UV and ozone resistant FPM seals. Conversely, the integration into Han-Eco® housings allows connectors with Han A® contact inserts to be implemented with less weight than previously, whereby they are - like all Han-Eco® applications - especially corrosion resistant thanks to the robust plastic, and particularly flexible in their application due to the rapid assembly.
